And now we have November

Fall colors are exploding around here, which helps in convincing me November has truly arrived, sinces it’s still warm in our area. October was a doozy, with that 31 day novella I posted, and a thousand things going on in real life. Hope some of y’all enjoyed that. Now that I’ve got that little bit of fiction out of my system, I’m going to focus on health and fitness on the blog much of this month.

In that vein, I’m guest posting today over at Sweat is My Sanity about several things I’ve learned in the almost 50 pounds of weight loss over the past year or so. Thanks Jessica for inviting me to be a part of your “Motivate Me Monday” series. Her blog is always full of motivating fitness inspiration, so check it out if you need a kick in the right direction.

October was also full of two birthday parties I planned, my second clinic at the free clinic, and some room redos at our house. The dismal brown that was on many walls of the house when we bought it is slowly being covered in swaths of whites and pale blues. I also sucessfully completed the Isle of Palms 10K early in the month, beating my goal of 1:15 by a few seconds, despite having forgotten my earbuds and iphone armband, and running the whole thing without music. I’ve got posts in the works for later this month about running, p90x, and how I’ve tweaked my cheating vegan diet to push past a plateau.

    Looking forward to your healthy posts. I lost 40 lbs., have re-gained some, needing to re-focus and un-gain. With still 30 more than that I need to lose. Encouraging to know others are struggling and winning!
